Diamondback The Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake is the largest of all venomous snakes in the United States. Sullen disposition, bold and sometimes aggressive. Fangs can measure one inch in large specimens. Venom is toxic. Mamba Eastern green mambas are the smallest of the mambas. These fast-moving snakes are highly venomous, but less aggressive than black mambas. They have short front fangs and their venom is neurotoxic. Copperhead The Copperhead is the most common venomous snake found in the eastern US and can be found throughout South Carolina. Corn Snake The Corn Snake suffocates its prey by wrapping its body around it. Constricting prey is a basic instinct for a type of snake called a constrictor. Mojave Rattler This species has the most toxic venom of any North American rattlesnake. Considered extremely dangerous to man, fatalities are known. Average length 3 feet, maximum length 4 feet. __________________________________________________________________________________________________

Python Pythons are nonvenomous snakes that kill by squeezing their prey. They mainly eat reptiles and mammals, but rarely have they killed humans.The biggest species of pythons reach gigantic size and are capable of killing and swallowing animals as large as crocodiles, pigs, antelopes, or small deer.
